4,500 people expected for Alain Souchon’s concert in Toulouse
The 2,000-person gauge for indoor concerts is lifted this Wednesday, February 2. It had been activated at the end of December in the face of the resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic and the virulence of the Omicron variant. Alain Souchon’s concert, scheduled at the Zénith de Toulouse on Thursday February 3, will therefore be able to stand as planned in front of 4,500 spectators.
This concert, already reported three times (it was initially scheduled for March 2020, before being postponed to September 2020 then to May 2021 and finally to February 2022), is highly anticipated by many fans. Clément, a 23-year-old Montalbanais has always appreciated the singer. He had taken his places in December 2019 with his family and he is impatient: “with each report I was a little sad I wondered if I was going to succeed in seeing this concert one day. There is just one point on which I reflected, it is that I bought the tickets a little after the release of the album Âme fifties, which I listen to on repeat. The enthusiasm for this record has died down a bit, and in 2022 I expect more of a concert on all of his work.”
It’s going to be a great moment, I don’t think I’ll be disappointed because Alain Souchon live, he’s a good musician and a good singer. It’s going to be a great evening, it’s a wait of several years that finally ends!
For the director of the Zénith de Toulouse, Gaëtan Brochard, holding this concert is also a relaxation. After two complicated years due to the epidemicclosures and successive reports, he is very happy to see the legend of French song in his room: “It’s a great honor and a great pleasure! I see it as a real sign of recovery and a real show that marks the renewal in 2022. There have been many date changes that have resulted in a lot of information for the public , lot of energy.”
A compulsory vaccination pass to attend the concerts
Especially since the boss of the Toulouse theater had a rather bad experience of the announcement of gauges for indoor concerts, at the end of December by Jean Castex: “Since September we have seen a bit of the end of the tunnel, and these new restrictions have taken a small blow to the morale of the teams. We are therefore resuming with a lot of desire and a lot of energy, but with fears for the future.
If there is no longer a gauge for concert halls, however, there are still restrictions : a vaccination pass is compulsory to enter, and there is no refreshment bar or catering until February 16. Before this date, it is also not possible to remain standing during the show.
