Toulouse: what happened to Benjamin, discovered dead in a building courtyard on December 11?
Benjamin, a 31-year-old father, was discovered dead in the middle of the courtyard of a building on rue Boulbonne in Toulouse on December 11. His relatives are looking for witnesses to understand the course of events.
“Benjamin was a popular man. Loved by his children, his four brothers and sisters and his parents”, explains Sophie his mother-in-law. On the night of Friday 10 to Saturday 11 December, this Airbus employee was found dead in the middle of the courtyard of a building, rue Boulbonne in Toulouse. Following this disappearance, the police officers of the right bank judicial support group are carrying out investigations. “We have been heard but very few people are present in this building on weekends. The majority of the accommodation is rented by companies”, specifies an entrepreneur installed at n°16.
He was due to get married in January
Despite everything, thanks to video surveillance and numerous hearings, officials managed to trace part of Benjamin’s itinerary. That evening, this father of two children aged 4 and 8 was invited to a housewarming party at a friend’s house. After the party, he walked home. “A priori, he joined his future wife, with whom he was to marry in January”, adds Sophie, moved. Along the way, the city cameras filmed him on rue de Metz and especially rue Boulbonne. Benjamin is leaning on the window of a shop, then nothing. The camera rotates and returns to the same place, but the 30-something has disappeared. “We had the impression that he was afraid of something. It is possible that he took refuge in a building to hide”, imagines Sophie. But from what and from whom? Mystery.
It was a resident of rue Boulbonne who found him lifeless around 9 am. Several hypotheses are explored but it is likely that he fell fatally from ten meters. “We are looking for witnesses who will allow us to tell what they saw. Was he attacked?” Ask his relatives. The police are following the case closely. “If you have any information, please contact us on Facebook. My account is So Phie, in the photo I am from the back with a denim jacket and angel wings”.
In solidarity with this research, the actor Guillaume Canet also relayed the call for witnesses on his Instagram account.
