The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced on January 20 the lifting of the wearing of a compulsory mask outdoors from February 2. Thus, by a prefectural decree published on Monday, Étienne Guyot, prefect of Haute-Garonne met end to the obligation to wear a mask outdoors throughout the Haute-Garonne department, from midnight Tuesday February 1. “Nevertheless, it is essential to maintain barrier gestures to best limit the circulation of the virus, which is still very active in the department. Wearing a mask is therefore recommended in all outdoor public spaces in which social distancing is not possible” , recalls the prefecture of Haute-Garonne.
