I am EU-Work abroad on a volunteer project or have volunteers from all over Europe in the team for up to a year – this chance offers that EU– Funding program “European Solidarity Corps” (ESK), which is coordinated in Tyrol by InfoEck on behalf of the state. Young people between the ages of 18 and 30 can work as volunteers in non-profit organizations or on projects in a wide range of areas such as social affairs, education, youth work, health, culture, sport or environmental protection and gain valuable experience – all over Europe, for a period of time from at least two weeks to a year. In Tyrol, other young people from Portugal, Spain, France and Italy are currently involved in institutions such as the Social Competence Center Rum, the Arche Tirol in Steinach/St. Jodok am Brenner, the school garden of the active Montessori school in Telfs or the bakery – Kulturbackstube in Innsbruck. Youth Provincial Council Anton Mattel recently welcomed them to Tyrol and exchanged ideas and projects with them.
“The year 2022 is the ‘European Year of Youth’ – it’s about strengthening young people and giving them positive prospects again in view of the pandemic, which has hit many young people hard and impaired their personal development. In this year, the initiatives of young people are particularly in the foreground. A tried and tested European youth initiative is the ESK volunteer service. Young people have the opportunity to gain important experience abroad. At the same time, non-profit organizations and companies have the opportunity to recruit committed young people from all over Europe and thus temporarily improve their team. No matter whether young Tyroleans are planning their own ESK adventure or Tyrolean organizations would like to get volunteers: The InfoEck-EUteam is happy to help with words and deeds.” LR Mattle and invites you to take advantage of this opportunity.
