The new protocol has just entered into force also for women’s football Serie B, very similar to that of men’s Serie A, which will also apply to the top women’s category and to the matches of the Italian Cup. By 3 February Ravenna Women will have to make the list of 25 players – including at least two goalkeepers – who will be part of the team group. To get the sampler to be positive for Covid, at least 35% of the players (or the two ports resume) can ask for a game to be moved from February 6 onwards, the day in which it will be the Serie B championship, after this long stop with three shifts skipped. This is the 12th and 13th outward day, originally scheduled for 9 and 16 January, as well as the first return, scheduled for 23 January. For the Ravenna Women these are the two home games with Palermo and Brescia and the away match against Pro Sesto.
Always away, the Giallorossi must return to play on 6 February, in the derby against San Marino, newly relegated from Serie A, currently sixth together with the Ravenna players with 16 points, less than 8 from the first position held by Como.
Among other things, the list of the 25 Ravenna athletes will be completed by some players from the nursery. A factor that will push even more on the more ‘green line’ in a squad that is already very young in itself, the youngest of all Serie B, with an average of less than 22 years, against almost 26 in San Marino and over 27 in Cortefranca, the oldest team in the second national series.
