In addition to the RT 2012, RE 2020 and other NF Habitat or NF Habitat HQE labels which certify most of its projects, Urbis Achievements has just obtained the BBCA label for the construction of a residence for young workers in Toulouse (31).
The BBCA association unveiled during its last Forum, the territories, the contracting authorities and the exemplary low-carbon programs. Among the latter, Urbis Achievements was awarded the highest distinction by obtaining the BBCA Excellence level certification. Located in the heart of the Montaudran district, in the ZAC Malepère in Toulouse, the newly certified project by Urbis Achievements is the result of a collaboration with Adoma, a subsidiary of CDC Habitat. This 121-unit residence for young working people, already part of a voluntary E+C- environmental quality approach at E2C1 level and NF Habitat HQE certification (quality of construction), has just obtained BBCA Excellence level certification. “In our environmental approach, we wanted to confront our project to the requirements of Low Carbon Buildings with the BBCA label. CE mark attests to the exemplary nature of our building in terms of carbon footprint”, emphasizes Eric Brunet, Deputy Technical Director, Urbis Achievements.
The barometer of a low-carbon construction
Remember that the BBCA label is established according to 4 axes which value: construction (intelligent mix of materials, sobriety of the design, etc.); operation (low-carbon energy, ENR, etc.); carbon storage (presence of bio-sourced materials); the circular economy (selective deconstruction, reuse of products, pooling of spaces, potential for change of use, potential for extension).
