Why are world summits dying in Geneva – Why the world can’t trust that Lavrov laugh – International
Last chance for peace?
Millions of Ukrainians in fear of an invasion by Russian troops, the world in great fear of a war with Russia. But Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (71) was in a good mood at the last-minute diplomatic meeting with his US colleague Anthony Blinken (59).
Blinken promised him that the US would reply “in writing” to Russia’s demands next week, Lavrov said.
Superficially a stage win for Lavrov and Kremlin Tsar Vladimir Putin (69). Its demands (including the withdrawal of NATO troops from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) have been on the table in Washington since December. And have so far been rejected.
The world cannot trust Lavrov’s laughter!
Because Russia’s foreign minister continues to spread well-known lies.
His country has no plans to attack Ukraine, has not threatened the Ukrainian people and has never planned to invade Ukraine. Such allegations are “anti-Russian hysteria” which should be avoided.
Dismay among US diplomats! In some respects, Russia has a different interpretation of history than we do. We heard things today that we disagree with,” it said.
Russia’s troop deployment on the Ukrainian border is also continuing. A new video shows an entire platoon with Buk M1 anti-aircraft systems. Russian-led troops used this device to shoot down Malaysia Airways flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in July 2014. 298 dead!
Experts therefore continue to consider the risk of war to be high! “People underestimate how fast and deadly modern large-scale warfare is,” expert Robert Lee of London’s King’s College told BILD.
“We could see thousands of victims in the first hour.”
