the USK upper run performed really well last fall. With eight full successes, three draws and only two defeats, the Stevic boys greet them from third place in the table. From the Trumer point of view, the title and at the same time promotion-bringing first place is a wish, but not a must. A top 5 place would probably make the club board happy.

Obertrum in the top field of the league
“We finished the autumn season very satisfactorily,” says Robert Winkler, chairman of Trumer, after 13 of 26 league games played, but with a broad grin. With an average of 2.07 points per match and a total of 27 points on the account, they manage to stay third in the table over the winter. For six weeks, after round five to round eleven, the men around trainer Stanislav Stevic even held the lead position. The only wound: The harsh 2: 6 home swatter against the later autumn champions ATSV – one of only two defeats of the season.
championship title? Wish but not an obligation
With just a manageable point behind leader ATSV, the 1st state league is now within reach for USK Obertrum. Of course, the possible promotion to the fifth division is by no means a taboo subject in Obertrum, but Winkler takes the pressure off his staff’s shoulders: “Of course we want to play for the top of the table for as long as possible. The championship title is not necessarily demanded by the team, however, in part by the board of directors. The aim is to play a good spring season like in the fall and to achieve a place in the top five.” Absolutely welcome: The dreamers will also value their own talents in the future. It is planned to take on greenhorns like Sebastian Rendl and Noah Stürzer , Noah Petschnig, Franz Armstorfer etc. to be increasingly integrated into the combat team.
Intensive week at home instead of training camp far away
Obertrum has been in team preparation training since Monday. “Preparatory games against Bürmoos, Plainfeld, Bergheim, den ASV, Seeham/Palting, Thalgau and Lochen are planned and fixed from January 28th – if Corona allows it,” says Winkler. What Corona definitely did not allow and had to be called off due to the uncertain situation is the originally planned training camp, which should have taken place from February 28th to March 4th. For a no less interesting replacement program has already been created. “During the same period, we will do an intensive week on our own artificial turf pitch with relaxation units such as swimming, sauna, etc.,” says Winkler.
