Börse Express – Takeda is Top Employer 2022 internationally and in Austria
39 sites of the biopharmaceutical company worldwide were recognized
Vienna (OTS) – Takeda Austria, the country’s largest pharmaceutical employer, has again been honored as “Top Employer Austria 2022”. The international company receives certifications at global, European and national levels for the outstanding work environment offered to employees at Takeda. Only eleven companies worldwide achieve the title “Global Top Employer 2022”.
Top employers at all levels
For the fifth time in a row, Takeda has been officially recognized internationally by the Top Employers Institute as “Global Top Employer 2022”. The certification is awarded annually to a company that is structured and comprehensive for its use. Alexandra Hilgers, Human Resources Senior Director at Takeda in Austria, explains: “The repeated award is a great success for all of us. The fact that the certifications were reassigned both at national and international level shows the continuity and long-term nature of our efforts. The ‘Top Employer’ certification for Takeda Austria makes us proud and demonstrates our commitment to establishing optimal conditions for our employees so that they can fully exploit their potential.”
For the assessment, Takeda’s branches were comprehensively analyzed and evaluated according to objective criteria. The Top Employers Institute certified companies based on the results of their HR Best Practices survey. This survey covers all aspects of HR and all employee-centric measures including: HR Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Wellbeing, Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and much more.
Family-friendly Best Place to Work
Top Employer 2022 is not the only certification Takeda has received. Takeda Europe was also recognized by the organization Best Places to Work and even achieved the top spot in this ranking, ahead of all other participating companies in Europe. The current family-oriented measures and the associated commitment of Takeda in Austria were awarded the Federal Prize for the most women- and family-friendly company in Austria in 2004. In 2008 the company was awarded the first full certificate for maintaining “work and family” by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, which was further verified through re-auditing.
Hilgers emphasizes: “True to our motto ‘Empowering our People to Shine’, Takeda relies on consistent diversity equity and inclusion management and on a wide range of training and development opportunities. Training and mentoring programs as well as job rotations are offered. Many measures that support the work-life balance as well as benefits and flexible voluntary services round off the Takeda experience.”
240 years of Takeda
Finally, Hilgers refers to Takeda’s anniversary: ”Takeda’s 240th anniversary is proof of its sustainable corporate policy. In our dedicated anniversary publication, interested parties can learn more about the company, our values and mission, and how and with whom we work to achieve the best for people living with rare and complex diseases.
