The profession of local police officer has undergone a radical transformation in recent years, taking on additional tasks with respect to the traditional ones pertaining to the “principals in the urban presigili”: the representatives of the fundamental body of the local police play a constant role in the territory, with the active participation in the Committees for order and security in close collaboration with the other law enforcement agencies, with coordination with the variegated world of civic associations which, thanks to the commitment of citizens and committees, can often dare to help decisive in the control of the territory “.
