Celtic has played blindly with Conor Hazard’s loan to Helsinki
All in all, this is a good business. Primarily because Conor Hazard seems to be happy with it.
He could have been raised to another Scottish club. However, he has been there and done so after spending loans with Dundee, Partick Thistle and Falkirk. Do you spend time in a completely different football culture where titles are expected? It will certainly speed up his progress.
Celtic has made some really great loan transfers this winter. Sending Liam Shaw to Motherwell makes perfect sense, as ‘Well you need a little steepness and traction in midfield. Ewan Henderson to Hibernian was a great move for all parties as his contract was coming to an end.
The conclusion of agreements on the development of Adam Montgomery and Osaze Urhoghide is certainly the next step. So also sending high-income people like Vasilis Barkas and Boli Bolingol who just don’t see playing time.
This is certainly not a movement that fans could have predicted for Conor Hazard. However, it is fascinating to keep up with Celtic’s goalkeepers as he tries to help HJK Helsinki secure his third consecutive championship.
