Advance voting rate rose to 16% News
Almost one in five eligible voters has so far voted in advance of regional health representations.

By Sunday evening, about 16.3 percent of those entitled to vote had voted in Finland regional elections advance voting time remains until Tuesday.
This equates to approximately 640,500 votes in Finland’s historic, council vote for the first time.
The residents of Etelä-Savo used the most in advance voting, as one in five regions had already chosen the candidate they wanted.
Voters will elect representatives to the new county councils, which will be responsible for social, health and emergency services from the beginning of 2023.
Helsinki residents will not vote in these elections, as the city will continue to organize and provide social, health and emergency services in the Helsinki metropolitan area without forming a special welfare service district.
A poll published last month showed that turnout in elections can be difficult to achieve 40 percent.
There are more than 10,000 candidates in the regional elections.
The actual election day is Sunday, January 23, and foreigners have the right to vote in Finland.
Advance voting was open from 12 to 18. January in Finland.
