Peggy Sue and her mom are a little upset right now. Communication becomes difficult as adolescence approaches. However, mother and daughter would like to understand each other. The little louse in Peggy Sue’s head revels in their arguments… but above all in their music. It will be thanks to Rock’n’roll that mother and daughter will recreate a bond. The history of this music and its revolt echo the stories of this atypical family.
In this musical and theatrical show, for children and adults, we wanted to tell the story of Rock’n’Roll to children. Rediscover by writing this show the magic that rock has always represented. Three actress singers and musicians wear this creation. Three young women to talk about a musical genre that knows no age or gender differences. And who also pass on their passion for this music. Because beyond the music it is above all a question of freedom. Rock is freedom. He reacts to the outside world and to intimate stories. It constitutes an identity. The character of the little girl, discovering rock’n’roll, becomes aware of her freedom and her identity, but also of those of her mother. Music unites these two generations. Thanks to music, the little girl discovers another facet of her mother, other than the one who wakes her up to go to school in the morning.
That of a free and passionate woman. And a new bond is created.
