A novelty is coming to Slovakia: Immediate payments take a few seconds
Slovenská sporiteľňa, VÚB banka and Tatra banka will launch immediate payments in Slovakia from 1 February. While interbank transfers take a minimum day today, it will be seconds from February.
Slovenská sporiteľňa’s clients will receive this innovation automatically as part of the service package, so nothing extra will be paid. Send immediate payments via George or internet banking for Business24 companies. In order for the payment to be immediate, the service needs to support the bank and at the same time the beneficiary’s bank.
The potential for sending instant payments is great, as banks in Slovakia will be able to make quick or fast payments in addition to another bank in the 36 countries that offer this service. “This is exactly how we create innovations in our bank – to make them accessible and useful for as many clients as possible. Sending an immediate payment is very simple – as before, clients enter a payment order via George or Business24 Business Banking and indicates the button to send the payment as immediate. The service will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, regardless of weekends or holidays, “said Milan Hain, a member of the Board of Directors responsible for IT and banking operations at Slovenská sporiteľňa.
Immediate payments will be available to VUB banka’s clients from the first day after their launch. Immediate payments will also be included in the account package. Instant payments also bring benefits to clients. “In addition, in Slovakia we introduce immediate payments in one of the highest standards, unlike the countries, so the implementation is much more difficult. , in Norway and Estonia, where they introduce immediate payments with us, the limit is only up to 15,000 euros. In Slovakia, there will be an absolute limit of up to 100,000 euros, ” closed PR manager of the bank Dominik Miša.
These payments will also be part of the service packages provided by Tatra banka and Raiffeisen banka. “When our immediate information systems are implemented, it is necessary to verify that all changes work before they can be launched in live operation. The testing itself is divided into several phases – of which so-called certified tests are performed.” These include mandatory test scenarios that must successfully continue to implement immediate payments. ” bank spokeswoman Simona Miklošovičová commented. The next phase is the functionality tests themselves, ie verification of all changes they have made in the bank. Testing will take place until the date of implementation of immediate payments into live operation.
