A meeting between the representatives of the National Association of Alpini in charge of the organization “Gathering Alpini 2020” took place this morning in the Sala della Giunta, which was initially planned in 2020, moved to 2021 and then postponed to May 2022. All ‘meeting was attended by various managers and executives of the Municipality of Rimini, the Local Police and other representatives of the territory. A significant event for the Rimini area – scheduled for Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 May – for which preparations continue and which in 2022 will also mark the important anniversary of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Alpine corps. Carlo Macalli, president of the “Gathering Alpini 2020” Association were present at the meeting; Roberto Gnudi, councilor of the “AA20202” and president of the Bolognese Romagna section; Guglielmo Dotti, of the “AA20202” and councilor section of the Bolognese Romagna; and Paolo Piraccini, Head of the Group of the Rimini section, together with various managers and executives of the Municipality of Rimini and other representatives of the area connected by video call.

During the meeting, which represents an important stage in the organizational path of the national event, the program was discussed, among other things, which can be changed according to the emergency conditions, the health situation and the indications – continuously updated – coming from the Prefecture and the AUSL. During the meeting, some strategic organizational aspects and other information for the logistics and occupation of public spaces in the city were shared, as well as other decisions related to the initiatives, divided over 4 days in different locations and hotel accommodation. We remind you that the “Committee of Honor National Alpine Gathering 2020”, which was established on 7 December 2019 in Rimini, changed its name from “COA 2020” to “COA 93 ^”, Honorary Committee of the 93 ^ Gathering, also modifying the duration which – after sending the last year – was extended to 31 December 2022.
