San Marino Academy, Melanie Kuenrath arrives from Naples • newsrimini.it
After saying goodbye Chiara Groff, passed to Lazio, the First Team of San Marino Academy prepares to welcome Melanie Kuenrath, midfielder South Tyrolean from Naples and first in strength at Florentia San Gimignano, after having trained as a footballer at Bayern Munich and having also worn the blue jersey at the youth national level. She is the first winter of reinforcement for Alain Conte.
“For now I have not yet met the teammates, but I have already had some first conversations with the Sporting Director and with the coach – lets know the new Titana -. I can’t wait to start this new adventure. I see a lot of potential in this team and I want to give my contribution to take it as far as possible. Serie B is an extremely competitive championship and for the moment there is some ground to recover, but the road is and I am convinced that a championship will do well, thinking one game at a time. “
A player with an offensive vocation, Melanie brings with her the fruits of a double football formation: Italian and
German. “German football is very different from Italian football – underlines the former Napoli -. I was lucky enough to be able to grow up in an excellent football school. I had strong players and around the day I was required to give my best. As for the experiences in the national team, those were unique and incredible. Wearing the blue shirt is the dream of every footballer. Over time, new dreams and new ones grew in me. The experiences have given me a lot of strength, but also taught me that you can never settle down. And I will never stop fighting and working for my goals. “
Next week Melanie will have her first training session with the new group. As for the official debut, January will not reserve opportunities, given the current state of suspension of the championship which will last at least until 6 February. A lapse that Melanie will be able to take advantage of to work on the harmony with her teammates and put her own characteristics at the service of Mr. Conte. “If I had to describe myself, I would say that I am a very technical player with a good vision of the game – says the midfielder born in 1999 -. I like to play in the service of my team mates and promote assist, but I do not disdain the search for a goal at all.
