If Bödöra is taken into custody, it will be a disgrace for Slovakia, says the former minister
BRATISLAVA / Norbert Bödör was released from custody and was immediately detained by the police. Not only him, but also many other actors in big cases are facing trials this year. The police have a new leadership, although Stefan Hamran is still only a temporarily appointed police president. Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OĽaNO) and former Minister Denisa Saková discussed not only this, but also the mandatory vaccination in the security forces.
The prosecuted Nitra businessman Norbert Bödör was released. They were released from prison in Ilava today, January 13, after a court decision. The Aktuality.sk portal was the first to inform that after a few hours the police detained him again. After Norbert Bödör was detained in the afternoon, he was taken to the police presidium in Bratislava. According to the latest information, investigators left him in a police detention cell. According to his lawyer Marek Paru, his retention against CPZ is illegal. Bödör did not even know why he remained in the CPZ.
Attorney Marek Para commented on the case for TV JOJ. According to him, he does not know the details yet, but it should be related to a case known to the public as the Judas case. “He was already at home with his family,” Para answered the question of where his client Nobert Bödör was at the time of the arrest.
This is how Igor Matovič, the prosecuted businessman of the Minister of Finance and the OĽaNO movement, commented on his release today:
According to the ex-minister, the detention would be a disgrace
According to the former Minister of the Interior Denisa Saková, it will be a shame for Slovakia if the businessman Norbert Bödör is prosecuted again. Vice-President Pellegrini’s Voice-SD argued that it was not possible to chain custody. This is not possible in any country of the European Union.
“The European Court of Human Rights has made it clear that this is inadmissible.” Saková said that this practice is still tolerated in Slovakia. In addition, according to the former Minister of the Interior, the case of the alleged bribe for the former head of the financial police, Bernard Slobodník, has been known for a long time in the Judas case, so Norbert Bödör should have been charged with the interim report. “I find this event a bit hasty, some unprepared. I don’t know what the two have, “ on said Bödör’s re-arrest.
According to the Minister of the Interior Roman Mikulec (OĽaNO), neither the investigator nor the supervisory prosecutor was informed about the release of the prosecuted businessman. He added, however, that he did not have detailed information on the case itself, so it is difficult for him to talk about it. “We did not even have the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic today, which spoke of the release,” the Minister added, adding that he assumed that law enforcement authorities would deal with such a situation as required by law.
Petr Žiga’s family relationship with the prosecuted businessman also came to the fore. According to ex-minister Sakova, Žiga was lynched. “I continue to believe Peter Žig that the accusation is unfounded. As for the second case, he is his relative, I did not ask him about it. He is his relative and I think it does not concern him.” Sak continued.
Minister Mikulec did not specify whether he was afraid that the prosecuted businessman would flee Nitra, for example to Dubai. We have the same problem with the prosecuted Výboh, but also Košč. Denisa Saková remarked that she could not predict it at all.
On the margin of complaints of the defender Marek Paru, Mikulec noted that it was too early for the evaluation. “I can’t say anything comes of it,” said the interior minister, adding that if I trust the law enforcement authorities, it is necessary to act and the prosecutor’s office. “If someone acted illegally, we’ll draw the consequences.” the minister continued, not knowing more. According to Sakova, such an approach is inadequate.
How will the state deal with bullying?
Roman Mikulec emphasized that a living case was not possible. “Police acted immediately. The case was not publicized until January 6,” Mikulec explained, adding that the police had started the investigation on January 2. Mikulec reacted to the margin of information that one of the minors who was supposed to abuse the 11-year-old girl is the daughter of the policemen. “I rule out that this would affect the ongoing investigation,” concluded Mikulec.
The National Council’s Defense and Security Committee should also address the case. According to Sak, bullying of children is a form of violence and she denied that the police would have doubts in this case. “Statistics have indicated that domestic violence and aggression are on the rise, and this is being passed on to children,” Sakova said she accused the government of failing to manage the pandemic.
He needs the police
“I don’t think we need any other legal leverage than the police have,” The Minister emphasized that the ball in this case is on the side of the Ministry of Labor, which also includes crisis helplines. The Ministry of Education also has an important role to play. Their proposals for a fight thus passed the last session of the government.
According to Sakova, it is crucial that the patrols are busy guarding the sports grounds and therefore cannot function as patrols and oversee order. She emphasized that the schools are attended by preventionists who communicate with teachers as well as pupils. The teacher can help not only report bullying, but also find it in time.
The Minister noted that it is important to realize that bullying is not the product of a pandemic, but there have been years. “It is important to say that we will name all those mechanisms unnecessarily, because we are all responsible for this, society as a whole,” he said, adding that unless citizens reported similar cases, the police had no way of knowing them and therefore no such thing. solution.
