Letter to the editor – Enough of the hypocritical salami tactics!
The Association of Same-Sex Liechtenstein (FLay) spoke up and presented their facts in response to my letter to the editor. Here are a few comments on my part:
First: Readers should form their own opinion: My ten informative-warning letters to the editor (from 2010 and 2011) regarding the partnership law and child adoption by same-sex couples will soon be available on the Internet (search term: “Vernehmlassungsbericht Stellätze Liechtenstein”) at llv.li. being. I wonder if FLay doesn’t feel guilty about its political approach when reading those letters to the editor.
Second: The statement by FLay that I used “derogatory terms” towards you in the current letter to the editor is a mystery to me. The readership judges for itself.
Third: The FLay claim that their approach is not a «salami tactic» is the joke of the year.
Fourth, Review: Last year our government released a consultation report regarding stepchild adoption by same-sex couples. You could submit a statement on this – even as a citizen. This is what I did: In December 2021, I sent the government my letter to the editor on the subject of “Child adoption by gay couples”, which had previously been published in our two national newspapers (mostly in advance of the gay partnership vote on June 19, 2011) .
You shouldn’t take yourself too seriously, but you can and should – even as a simple citizen – be outraged by the fact that your own electorate was fooled by same-sex politicians in 2011: the gay partnership law would have been rejected If we had been told that adopting it would ultimately result in the demand for (step) child adoption. If our politicians do not lose control areas of this hypocritical, unfair and slapping salami tactic, they will lose all credibility.
