Home vaccination implemented in Marseille
To cope with the significant delay in vaccination among those aged 75 and over, a campaign “Vaccinate our seniors” was launched in the city of Marseille at the start of the year. Thanks to this new campaign, the elderly can now be vaccinated at home. The person concerned simply needs to call the dedicated number: 0800 730 957 (free number) to make an appointment.
These new vaccination slots come on top of the enormous system already in place in Marseille. Since the start of vaccination, the municipality has mobilized by opening several permanent vaccination centers and then occasionally offering ephemeral vaccination centers in order to get as close as possible to the populations.
Thanks to the mobilization of the Battalion of Marins-Pompiers de Marseille, three vaccination centers are installed in the city:
– The Parc Chanot Vaccinodrome (8th / 9th) open Monday to Wednesday as well as Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
– the Vaccinodrome on rue Louis Astruc open Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
– The Grand Littoral Vaccinodrome open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 2 pm.
From January 15, the Parc Chanot Vaccinodrome will host vaccination for children on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. For those over 12 years old, it is possible to come to be vaccinated without making an appointment, while for 5/11 years old, making an appointment is mandatory.
