BOLA – Portugal registers more than 40 thousand positive cases again (Country)
For the second consecutive day Portugal registers numbers above 40 thousand new positive cases, more concrete more concrete 40,134 in the last 24 hours, with 22 deaths related to the virus, according to the data revealed, this Thursday, in the epidemiological bulletin released by the Directorate- General Health.
Of three of the 22 deaths, 12 were registered in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, six in the North, in the Center and one in the Azores.
As for the new cases, 16,062 were in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 14,866 in the North, 4,232 in the Centre, 1,960 in Madeira, 1,255 in Alentejo, 1,219 in the Algarve and 540 in the Azores.
There are more than 64 people hospitalized, bringing the total number to 1699, five of those in Intensive Care (162 in total).
Another 30,041 people were reported to have recovered, with the number of active cases, according to the DGS, being 286,965, 10,071 more than in the data announced on Wednesday. There are 7,240 more contacts under surveillance, bringing the total number to 4,232 people.
It should be said that, since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal already has a total of 1,774,477 cases of infection and 19,203 deaths associated with SARS-Cov-2.
