🇸🇮 Slovenia: EMA Fresh cut to one final of the show?
Evrovizija.com reports that EMA Fresh will now consist of one final instead of two television finals.
The Slovenian Eurovision website Eurovision reports that EMA Freš will now consist of only one television final on 28 January. The RTVSLO program shows that the final show of EMA Freš will be broadcast on January 28 between 20:00 and 21:35 with a show entitled “Finale”.
RTVSLO has already stated that in January there will be two shows with seven songs in each show, one song will be selected by the public and one jury to qualify for the EMA 2022 finals. Four EMA Fresh finalists will join sixteen groups competing to represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2022. It is not known whether only two points will advance to the finals of one show in the EMA 2022 finals, or whether four acts will advance.
The Slovenian public and the jury chose a total of fourteen performances for the competition at EMA Freš:

- LPS – Disco
- Jon Vitezič – Jesus’ style
- Ina – Moj dopamin (Moj dopamin)
- Jaka Hliš – Tailor of your happiness
- LUMA – All In
- Leya Leanne – naked
- De Liri imam (I exist)
- Marijan Novak and Špela Velikanje – I’m so in love
- Katja Kos – Deadly Flower
- Emma – My Happiness (My Happiness)
- Anja Vodošek – Maniac
- Mia Vuckovic – Telenovela
- Nika S. – Wait for me (Wait for me)

Slovenia was one of three countries to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organized Millstreet Qualifying Round, which took place in Slovenia, and seven countries competed for three places at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result was in 1995, when Darja Švajger finished in 7th place with a total of 84 points, closely followed by Nuša Derenda, who took 7th place with 70 points in the 2001 competition.
