The release of the Guide Michelin Belux postponed to May
The new stars of the Red Guide for Belgium and Luxembourg will be presented in May at the Théâtre Royal in Mons.
Due to the health crisis, Michelin has decided to postpone the release of its 2022 edition for Belgium and Luxembourg until May 23, initially scheduled for February 21. The Michelin Guide indeed wishes “to do everything in its power to ensure that the profession comes together for a friendly and warm moment”. The past year has been “extremely difficult for the restaurant industry” again. Despite the challenges that professionals had to overcome in order to adapt, Michelin’s fine palates were impressed “by the level of commitment, dedication and creativity shown by the chefs and their teams, while continuing to offer gastronomic experiences of a very high level, ”underlined the international director of the Michelin Guides, Gwendal Poullennec, in a press release published on Tuesday.
While waiting for the star ceremony, the 2022 selection for Belgium and Luxembourg can be discovered exclusively in digital version, on the website guide.michelin.com, or via the new Red Guide application, available for free download from the iOS and Android stores.
