demonstration of social and medico-social employees for their salaries and working conditions
Social and medico-social professionals gathered this Tuesday, January 11 in Annecy, as in several cities in France, to have declared the deterioration of their working conditions and to assert a series of demands. Supported by the CGT, FO, Sud and FSU unions, they were two to three hundred in the early afternoon in front of the prefecture.
They are demanding salary increases, human resources acquired in establishments, the reinstatement of staff suspended for refusing to be vaccinated against covid-19, or even the end of bed closures.
The monthly bonus of 183 euros promised to employees “forgotten of Ségur” is one of the subjects which are mobilized. In the private non-profit sector, it will be conditional on the development of a single collective agreement. The unions which called for a strike on Tuesday deem this requirement unacceptable and fear “that the existing collective agreements will be dislocated”, in favor of a leveling of rights to the bottom.
Among the demonstrators, who came from all over the department and from all sectors (public hospital, territorial and associations), said members of the Collective of social and medico-social professionals of Savoy angry. It was created in November 2021 to speak out for employees, outside of union involvement.
“We are 70 members and the troops are growing day by day, with employees from entire centers who join us and also families”, underlined Fabienne Tassa, employee of the Apreto addictology center in Annemasse, member of the collective and union member. at the CGT, an obvious place in Annecy.
