Gers: a truck pulls up to the ditch at Aubiet, traffic between Auch and Toulouse diverted in both directions
A tanker truck finished its course in a bend of the RD 924 in Aubiet this Monday, January 10 at the end of the morning, while it took the deviation set up during the works of the RN 124. both directions between Auch and Toulouse.
A few days after the establishment of the deviation of the RN 124 by Aubiet, a driver lost control of his tanker in a bend of the RD 924, on the heights of the town, this Monday January 10, around noon .
The vehicle ended up in the ditch to the left of the road. The driver was not injured in the accident.
As the truck is carrying more than 20,000 liters of fuel, a second vehicle must go to the scene in order to transfer the liquid. The heavy goods vehicle can then be towed.
The intervention should last all afternoon. A diversion has therefore been set up by the Interdepartmental Direction of South West Roads (Dirso) for vehicles traveling on the Auch – Toulouse axis, in both directions of traffic. The latter takes the road to Mauvezin before joining Gimont and the planned route.
The firefighters of Gimont, Mauvezin and L’Isle-Jourdain as well as the gendarmerie intervened on the spot. The mayor of Aubiet, Jean-Luc Fossé, also visited the scene of the accident.
