With 16 days of the race, 537 participants had already registered for the next GlaGla Race (January 21-23). Mainly European competitors, but also some who do not hesitate to make the trip from South Korea, India or Senegal, to take the start of this winter stand-up paddle event whose fame is now worldwide. Seven editions have built the singularity of this event, contested on the waters of Lake Annecy between champions of the discipline and passionate practitioners.
And it is these two audiences that the event concentrates, in particular by allowing amateurs to try their hand at winter sliding: rental of stand-up paddle boards, wetsuits, childcare during the race, massage service, sauna. and Norwegian bath (at 37 ° c), without forgetting the peripheral animations which will allow you to get into the stand up paddle dimension via professional advice, equipment tests …

It will also be possible to follow this 8e Edition on TV8 Mont-Blanc, the regional channel providing live coverage of the race. In 2020, this live broadcast on many channels had set the world broadcast record for a stand up paddle race.
The GlaGla Race is also an event on the calendar of some of the best paddlers in the world such as the Frenchman Titouan Puyo, winner of the last edition. Who will succeed him? Bruno Hasulyo, who made this GlaGla Race his goal for the start of the year? Ludovic Teulade, who has already hung the event on his record? The New Caledonian Clément Colas? Or Titouan Puyo himself? The program
Very short distance (3 km), short distance (6 km), long distance (14.5 km), technical race, Dragon race (4 per paddle), will follow one another during the day of Saturday January 22 (the 23 being a day of response).
