Portugal Pavilion reopens in Dubai – Society
A research area of the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai must reopen this Thursday, with the trouble caused by a storm, advanced to CM an official AICEP source:
“The Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has never fully closed and the exhibition experience opens tomorrow, we are going to meet all the security conditions. The Pavilion’s store and cafeteria are open to visitors, with activities to promote the country,” explained the source.
According to AICEP, “the extraordinary weather conditions of recent days in Dubai affected the electrical system of the exhibition experience, predominantly digital, and of the restaurant, forcing a temporary closure of these areas to ensure the safe operation of the electrical system, as well as safety of visitors and customers. The UAE National Meteorology Center recorded heavy rains, thunderstorms and hail, in a bad weather that unfortunately also affected Pavilions in other countries at Expo 2020 Dubai, with whom we sympathize,” he commented.
The celebration of Portugal Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, which takes place on January 14th, remains as planned.
