Sólymos welcomes the launch of the backup of PET bottles and cans
Thanks to this, according to the former Minister of Slovakia, the country will be cleaner and healthier.
Former Minister of the Environment László Sólymos welcomes the launch of the backup of plastic bottles and cans. He claims that through backup, waste becomes a recyclable raw material, which will make Slovakia a cleaner and healthier country.
“It was a complex and demanding process, but it paid off. Slovakia is at the forefront of this effort, it is the first country in Central Europe to introduce backup. It is becoming a recyclable raw material, making Slovakia a cleaner and healthier country.” Sólymos was mentioned in the opinion sent by TASR, the spokeswoman of the non-parliamentary party Klára Magdeme. Sólymos is the chairman of the Alliance Republican Council.
Legislation is allowed to run backups prepared by Sólymos in the previous parliamentary term and was a constitutional majority.
The backup of plastic bottles and cans began in Slovakia on January 1. Applies only to packages marked “Z – Backup”. They will return uncompressed, undamaged and the bottles with the lid. The amount of the deposit is the same for plastic packaging and cans, namely 15 eurocents. All disposable plastic and metal beverage containers with a volume of 0.1 to three liters are backed up. Exceptions are packaging for milk, syrups and hard alcohol.
