An arrest at the Sunday CoV action demonstration led to a protest by opponents in front of the Salzburg city police command on Sunday evening. A small group loudly called for the detainee to be released.
The background: During the demonstration against compulsory vaccination and coronavirus measures on Sunday afternoon in Salzburg’s old town, a person was arrested on suspicion of bodily harm and resistance to state violence. The demo participant is said to have attacked and violated a violation of the FFP2 mask requirement.

According to the police, around 2,000 people took part in the demonstration of the citizens’ initiative “Salzburg wakes up” against the CoV measures and the planned vaccination requirement on Sunday afternoon – more than on the Sunday before, but less than during the largest CoV measures in mid-December. The march through the center of Salzburg was peaceful, the police reported only isolated violations of the FFP2 mask requirement.
