In the Belarusian city of Rechitsa, 27-year-old Dmitry Uskhopov died after being detained by police on the evening of December 31, reports “Mediazona. Belarus“.
At about 23:00 on December 31, Uskhopov was detained at a bus stop, he was drunk and was going to go to his mother to celebrate the New Year.
According to eyewitnesses, Uskhopov did not obey the police, and they called for help, after which the man was taken to the district police station.
At 01:20 on January 1, his death was recorded at a local hospital.
What happened at the police station is unknown. The man noticed bruises and bruises, and a round wound on his head.
“They were either interrogated and beaten, or once hit in the head, or shot from pneumatics, I do not know for certain. He lost consciousness in the ROVD, they poured water over him there, tried to reanimate him, his undershirt was torn. They brought him already with a half-naked torso and a jacket on top. Hair, body, clothes – everything is wet, it is still wet in the morgue, ”the relatives of the deceased told the publication.
The Belarusian Investigative Committee reported that Uskhopov fell ill on the way from the police station to the hospital, where he was taken for a medical examination. Resuscitation measures did not help him. At the same time, injuries of internal organs and bones are not found in him.
