EHC signs scandal defender | Evening newspaper Munich
Munich – EHC Red Bull Munich struck again on the transfer market before the game against the Grizzlys Wolfsburg. Canadian defender Andrew O’Brien comes from JYP Jyväskylä in Finland.
The 29-year-old is already under contract with four NHL organizations (Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators and Calgary Flames), but has never played in the best league in the world in his career.
Before his engagement in Finland, O’Brien was active in Sweden at IK Oskarshamn, but was kicked out after a drunk drive.
EHC does not deter history
However, the EHC was not deterred by this history. “We have constantly observed the market and now found in Andrew someone who will certainly help us because of his physique and running strength,” said sporting director Christian Winkler.
And that’s not all: Allegedly, Munich is very interested in signing the Norwegian national goalie Henrik Kaukeland (27, Färjestad BK).
