How the race went
The first stage of the competition was master start. Jim passed the initial shooting without a hitch, breaking into the leaders of the race. The Ukrainian was the first to pass the baton to Pidruchny, but then there were regular mistakes on the firing line, which did not allow her to stay in the first position.
The henchman made mistakes and passed Eric Lesser ahead, then passed the baton to others. The first steadfastness that Jim, the Handyman passed with a flaw and after half the race, came in fourth.
Jim made a mistake once on the next bench, and Handy first in the race made two misses. After a series of unsuccessful firing lines, Julia managed to shoot again without error and after stability passed the baton to Dmitry in the top 5 before the last stage.
The Ukrainian can not pass, at least one shooting range without errors: he did not hit the first target, supporting the number of misses of Ukraine seven, but due to errors super managed to finish in second place.
The leaders after the mass start by a wide margin were the German team of Janini Gettich and Erika Lesser, who were the only ones who did not make a single mistake on the firing line (the rest had at least five mistakes) and ended with a time of 31: 04.4. After the first women’s resilience, the Germans lost their lead: the Austrian Lisa Theresa Hauser bypassed Gettich, who came to Hibi, and made a break for her partner Felix Leitner. Meanwhile, Ukraine fell from the top 6 at the equator of the pursuit race.

In the end, Ukraine finished far from the second position, which it occupied after the mass start – in eighth place. The Blue and Yellows had the highest number of losses among all participants – 13 – and lost to the winners by almost two and a half minutes.
