ENCAVIS sells all of its wind farm portfolio in Austria to WIEN ENERGIE
Hamburg / Vienna, December 27, 2021 – The SDAX-listed wind and solar park operator Encavis AG (ISIN: DE0006095003, Prime Standard, ticker symbol: ECV) is selling its 51% majority stake in the Austrian wind park portfolio to Wien Energie GmbH, the largest regional energy supplier in Austria. The three wind farms “Pongratzer Kogel” and “Herrenstein” in Styria and “Zagersdorf” in Burgenland have a total generation capacity of 36.2 megawatts (MW) and were 49% owned by Wien Energie.
“For the first time with this transaction we are completely parting with a relatively manageable wind farm portfolio in an energy market that offers us only limited growth prospects.
