Professor Gabrovski: The level of vaccination in Bulgaria is insultingly low
He added that the fifth wave in January is not ruled out
“Faith in every way is very important. The Christmas spirit is the bearer of hope for something better, for something brighter. A doctor cannot help believing that someone has something else that helps him, outside of him. It is too presumptuous to think that we decide everything“, said the head of the Clinic neurosurgery prof. Nikolai Gabrovsky in the show “Support People” on Bulgaria ON AIR
At the time of pandemic is the loss experienced?
“Professionally, this is an inevitable part of their profession. It’s always difficult, the main thing is to be convinced that you did everything possible. Christmas is a reason to think. It can’t change the situation from today to tomorrow. In these few days , including in anticipation of the New Year, everyone should ask themselves what I want it to be, try to leave the bad behind and look forward with hope“, Added Prof. Gabrovski.
He is adamant that society is extremely divided at the moment.
“I connect it with the political situation in the country. We had elections several times this year, which did not come much more. I do not remember such a tension from the 90s, when the system was changed. There will probably be people who have an interest in dividing our society in this way“, Commented the professor.
According to him, there is a certain division between doctors.
“We are part of society, and when society is divided and there is a tense political situation – and this affects the doctors. But it does not affect our professional duties. Unfortunately, this doctor and the heroes of the day. This crisis lasted. , I put a lot of effort into all the specialists, show new options, there is still a lockdown in some places around the world, new measures“, Stressed Prof. Nikolai Gabrovsky.
The specialist believes that the situation is calmer now, less than a month and a half ago.
“I am convinced that with higher vaccination this wave can be lower and with far fewer victims. I am optimistic, we already know enough about this disease. Offensively low level of immunization in Bulgaria. Distrust is created during the vaccination process. The voices of anti-waxers were much louder and much denser“, shared the specialist.
He added that the fifth wave in January is not ruled out.
“VaccinesThe opposition that is against Kovid-19 will have dynamics because new variants are emerging. There are new ones vaccinesthat come on the market. I expect that in the coming years there will be completely new classes of drugs that will be treated differently. It can’t be politics. This is one of the most important functions of the state. We as doctors can learn to be better – to introduce new technologies, new methods“, explained Prof. Gabrovski.
