Ruben Gabrielsen back in Toulouse
Toulouse will have to manage an unexpected return to its workforce. Loaned the last to FC Copenhagen, which also allowed to reduce the wage bill, the former captain of Téfécé Ruben Gabrielsen will not be kept within the Danish club, thirteen times champion of his country. Barred by competition, Gabrielsen has only taken part in four months to four matches, of which only two as a starter.
This comeback will not be without causing concern to Damien Comolli, the president, and to trainer Philippe Montanier. Physically, doubts persist for a player stopped several times during his loan by injuries (knee). Base man last season of the eleven from Toulouse, after his arrival in January 2020, Gabrielsen returns in a context where some have settled into the post.
A departure during the transfer window?
Rasmus Nicolaisen, after a timid start, has gained momentum. Anthony Rouault, soon back to competition, had proven at the start of the season that he was a credible holder, just like the one who replaced him, Bafodé Diakité. And Toulouse has great hopes for the pearl announced, Logan Costa, who arrived from Reims this summer.
With one more salary to take care of, Toulouse will certainly try to find a new destination for the Norwegian during the winter transfer window. Surely a headache for a central defender who is often injured and who has played little.
