DEL: Home wins for Berlin and Mannheim
The top teams of the German Ice Hockey League showed no nakedness on Thursday evening and celebrated home wins. Leader of the table Eisbären Berlin prevailed 4: 3 (2: 1, 1: 2, 1: 0) against the Schwenninger Wild Wings, the Adler Mannheim defeated the Düsseldorfer EG 4: 1 (1: 0, 1: 0, 2: 1).
Followers Red Bull Munich, however, conceded a 3: 4 (3: 1, 0: 2, 0: 0, 0: 1) after extra time against the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven.
Behind the polar bears, Mannheim and Munich follow in second and third place in the table. Frank Hördler (43.) shot the polar bears in an intense duel for the 19th win of the season in the 30th game. Mannheim celebrated goals from four different goal scorers.
Munich, on the other hand, gambled away a 3-1 lead and had to accept the fourth bankruptcy from the last five games. Phillip Bruggisser rewarded Bremerhaven with his goals in extra time for a courageous race to catch up.
The Kölner Haie conceded the fourth defeat in the series at 2: 3 (1: 0, 1: 2, 0: 0, 0: 1) after extra time at the Grizzly Wolfsburg. Spencer Machacek decided the party for the Lower Saxony who would remain in fourth place in the table. Cologne is sixth.
