An “encouraging” convalescence
The recovery of the former professional swimmer, treated for a few weeks in a specialized establishment outside Monaco, should require a few months of additional care, palace officials said. “The convalescence of Princess Charlene continues in a positive and future way, even if her recovery should still take a few months”, we can read in the press release. The latter specifies that her husband, Prince Albert II, as well as their children, will visit him on the occasion of the end of the year celebrations.

A “state of deep fatigue”
Absent on November 16 during a parcel delivery ceremony from the Monegasque Red Cross, in which she was to participate, the princess had also not attended the national rock festival three days later. The princely palace had then revealed his admission to a health establishment located abroad, due, as a source close to the palace told AFP, “of great fatigue linked to his weakness”.
“A period of calm and rest is necessary for the good recovery of the health of the princess”, so that the latter recovers “from a state of deep general fatigue” after a “medical course (…) very experienced these latter months ”, had underlined the principality in a press release published on November 16. Former high-level swimmer, Charlene Lynette Wittstock, born in 1978 in Zimbabwe, had married Prince Albert II of Monaco in 2011.
