Toulouse. Well skate now
Until Sunday, a few more days to enjoy the joys of sliding on the Capitole ice rink. Open for the first time since November 26, at the same time as the Christmas Market, the ice rink has already registered more than 14,000 admissions this year.
A real success with visitors, but also exhibitors, since this event marked a very family audience.
“It’s a godsend for parents who want to do their shopping in peace, because the children often drag their feet a little to accompany them to the Christmas Market”, explains Laure, one of the organizers. In a friendly setting decorated with white trees, beginners or more experienced will appreciate the sensations of sliding on a real one. This is the case of Armonia, 15, from Dunkirk and staying with her parents in a hotel near the square. Since childhood, she has been practicing synchronized skating as a team in her hometown club. Converted for 2 years, Covid obliges, in the artistic, it connects pirouettes and other figures. “On synthetic ice, I can’t do all of that,” she explains. If Armonie has put on her own skates, it is of course possible to rent them on site for free with your € 5 entry ticket. For the less adventurous, all kinds of trolleys are also freely available to help you skate. And it is a real pleasure to discover these sensations of sliding in such a magical setting. Note that the ice rink will close at 7 p.m. on December 24 and 26 and will open on Christmas Day at 2 p.m. with a night-time until 10 p.m.
