Ukraine is waiting for Russia’s readiness for dialogue, – Zelensky
President Vladimir Zelensky is confident in its readiness for any format of talks with the Russian Federation, but does not call Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He said this during a conversation with journalists in the village of Guta in Ivano-Frankivsk region, reports Ukrinform.
“It seems to me that we both do not pick up (handset – “N”), because we both do not call. It doesn’t happen that way a little bit. We openly say that we are ready for a dialogue, we need the Russian side to say that they are ready, “Zelensky said when asked if he was calling the Russian president.
Zelensky believes that the Ukrainian side is ready to meet with the Russian Federation in any format with the participation of any international partners or tete-a-tete, but Russia’s readiness is needed.
“Our administrations (presidents of Ukraine and Russia – “N”) talk, which may be through our meeting. If the administration fails to agree on complex documents within a certain period of time, I will call him directly, ”the head of state added.
He noted that Ukraine proposed ten steps to implement “Minsk”, which passed to the United States, Russia, France and Germany.
“We are constantly preparing and initiating various documents, various steps, so as not to throw information at us that we do not want something,” the president stressed.
