Record of new connections in Thessaloniki and Thessaly in 2021
An increase of 10% is recorded in 2021 by the new Connection Contracts of households and areas of Thessaloniki and Thessaly with the natural gas network of EDA THESSA, compared to 2020, according to data announced by the General Manager of the company, Leonidas. Bakouras, in a meeting he had with the Mayor of Pylaia-Chortiatis and President of the Regional European Union of Municipalities of Central Macedonia, Ignatios Kaitezidis, and the Mayor of Ampelokipi Menemeni and Vice President of the Central European Union of Municipalities of Greece, Lazaros Lazas.
The General Manager of EDA THESSA informed about the rapid and timely implementation of the Approved Development Program for 2021 in full, with the inclusion of eight new areas in the distribution network of the company. Specifically, as the company, despite the health and energy crisis, the penetration of natural gas continued at a rapid pace and the new Connection Agreements at the end of 2021 will exceed 25,000, for households and businesses in the areas of the License in Thessaloniki and in Thessaly – record number since the establishment of the Company. Respectively, the distributed volumes for 2021 meters to exceed 520 million cubic meters, recording an increase of ~ 16% compared to 2020.
