Faced with the craze for stationery, the Quartier Libre Papier brand is opening a boutique

That’s good, the company Paper Free Quarter has just opened a stationery store in Toulouse. It has been welcoming its customers since last Saturday, December 18 at 6 rue de la Bourse. It is the very first store of the company, created by Adeline Benmohammed and Lucile Domon. From the field of Applied Arts, these two young women launched their stationery brand in 2017.
“Since we were little, we have been passionate about notebooks and pens. We wanted to create our company,” says Adeline Benmohammed, who was employed by the company. TRAIT for eight years. Quartier Libre Papier thus offers notebooks, weeklies, cards, announcements or posters with original patterns made by Lucile Domon. “All illustrations are hand drawn and done in watercolor and pencil,” says The Independent Opinion the brand’s co-founder.
A place to showcase the brand
The company is also part of an eco-responsible approach. Printed in the Toulouse region, the illustrations are actually produced with papers from sustainable production and vegetable inks labeled Imprim’vert. “We also use as little plastic packaging as possible,” says Adeline Benmohammed. The brand’s products were until now only sold on the brand’s website and in paper mills in France, Europe and even in the world.
But Adeline and Lucile wanted have their own shop. “As the company is developing better and better, we have decided to open a place around the brand to promote it and be able to welcome our professional and private customers”, confides the co-founder of Quartier Libre Papier. Also a former TRAIT employee, François Pousson then join the two friends in their adventure entrepreneurial. “There was a need to strengthen the team,” said Adeline Benmohammed.
A new craze for stationery
So they opened the store where the company’s offices are also located. In addition to presenting the entire universe of Quartier Libre Papier, the store offers a selection of products from other brands. “We sell vases, photo albums and socks of the brand Cuckoo Suzette. These are products that resemble us and complete our offer “, specifies Adeline Benmohammed to The Independent Opinion. Open for a few days, the shop start to take its marks in his neighborhood.
“We were very well received and were able to physically meet up with clients of Quartier Libre Papier,” says the co-founder. The stationery is booming for a few years. “One might think that it is a sector that has been in the digital age. But there is a return to essential things and noble materials such as paper”, observes Adeline Benmohammed. Containment has also played its role. “People sent each other cards. They communicated in another way,” notes the brand’s co-founder. No texting, so make way for greeting cards !
