Coupe de France: OM, Monaco, Saint-Etienne, Lens pass, Metz eliminated by an N2
This weekend, Ligue 1 clubs are entering the Coupe de France. And this Sunday, five elite residents were engaged in the matches played at 1:45 p.m.
OM got scared for a half
Used to suffering against small teams in recent years, OM believed they were reliving a new nightmare against Cannet-Rocheville.
Not to miss
Led 1-0 in the 17th minute, OM took advantage of their opponent’s clumsiness to return to the game and then overthrow them. A clumsy tackle from Lahouel on De La Fuente resulted in the player’s expulsion and a penalty for OM, transformed by Milik (41st).
The Pole offered himself a triple in the second half (57th, 90th) and Luis Henrique also participated in the party (77th).
Ben Yedder untenable, successful first for Dupraz
For its part, Monaco was on the move on the lawn of the Red Star. In a pleasant game, thanks to the offensive play advocated by Habib Beye, the coach of the Ile-de-France club, Monaco relied on an untenable Wissam Ben Yedder and author of a double (32nd, 64th) to qualify. Malchent, the Red Star found the elements twice.
Saint-Etienne also ensured the blow against an opponent from a lower division. For his first match at the head of the Greens, Pascal Dupraz led his team to victory against Lyon-La Duchère in a sort of mini-derby. Despite a lagre domination, Saint-Etienne is registered only one but, by Arnaud Nordin (32nd).
It was also on the score of 1-0 that Lens defeated Poitiers. The meeting changed in the space of two minutes. After Ganago’s opener (36th), Poitiers found itself at ten after the expulsion of Neto (38th).
Metz eliminated by Bergerac
Metz had been warned. Bergerac has not taken a single goal in this Coupe de France. Mistreated and providing themselves with few chances, the Messins were determined on penalties by the Bergeracois (there is no overtime).
All the players succeeded in their attempt except the Messin Pape Matar Sarr, thus offering the qualification to Bergerac which continues its epic.
