extended crisis gateway law until March 31, 2022
The Council of Ministers decided on Friday to extend the crisis gateway right from December 1, 2021 until March 31, 2022 for the self-employed charged with the new health measures, announced on Saturday the office of the Minister of SMEs and Independents David Clarinval (MR).
“Following the latest health measures, I insisted that the three pillars of gateway law (the single, the double and that applicable in the event of quarantine or custody of a child)“, commented the Minister.”Those who will close completely, those who must experience a significant drop in their turnover or the self-employed who have to interrupt their activity to take care of their child during the period when schools are closed, must be able to benefit from financial benefits at the height of the shortfalls“, he continues.

In detail, the amount of the first pillar of gateway rights “compulsory closure“will be doubled, rising to 2,687.74 euros (without dependents) and to 3,358.62 euros (with dependent).
The second pillar of gateway law “decrease in turnover“(at least 40%) will be extended, just like the 3rd pillar”in the event of quarantine or taking care of a child“.
“From the closure of schools on December 20, 2021, and for a period of seven consecutive days, self-employed workers will be entitled to full compensation of 335.97 euros (without dependents) and 419.83 euros (with dependent)“in case of interruption due to the care of their child, punctuates the press release.
