Salzburg: Victims recognized serial burglars on the street – arrest
One of his victims, of all people, had a Salzburg serial burglar exposed. The 34-year-old man was then arrested by the police.
The 34-year-old from Salzburg is accused of having committed a total of eleven break-ins in Salzburg since July 2021. First of all, the perpetrator climbed several times over the fencing of the property of a single-family house in Salzburg-Süd and searched the vehicles parked there, but unlocked.
Furthermore, he continued to gain access to a property in Salzburg-ing, compensated he opened the entrance gate forcibly and also searched the vehicles parked and unlocked there. The crime is also a single-family house.
Apart from cigarettes and cash, the perpetrator was unable to steal anything, but by dying at the entrance gate, he had caused property damage amounting to around 5,000 euros.
Due to video surveillance, the perpetrator was recognized by a victim on the street. The police caught the man who initially refused to testify. After further investigations, the Salzburg man admitted all break-ins.
