The meaning of the theme ‘Tie me up was born with the aim of analyzing and enhancing the surrounding context, bringing artists and the public to a relationship linked to the current events that surround them. In a moment of pandemic we are forced to defend ourselves from a virus with the most effective weapon: social distancing and the reduction, to a minimum, of social and interpersonal relationships, those bonds that we are losing and forgetting and which are practically zeroed. But, at the same time, the pandemic has made us rediscover bonds that, in some moments, were taken for granted or lost: those with the family, with loved ones and with the environment that surrounds us. The artists have focused on these concepts to propose their suggestions and emotions.
The competition is open to all artists, painters, photographers, sculptors – professional and non-professional – from any country in the world, adults and residing in Italy. After the important numbers of the first five editions, in 2021 the figure of over 1,300 registered artists was reached.
During the inauguration ceremony, which will be held on the afternoon of Saturday 18 December, the 4 winners who will win a cash prize, including the Save the Planet prize (for a total of 10,000 Euros), in addition to the publication in the Art Catalog. The EneganArt project continues to grow with satisfaction allowing us to give visibility to many artists and today it can be placed among the most important initiatives in Italy in the art sector “.
Arturo Galansino, general director of the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation he declares: “We are pleased to be part of this project and to host the EneganArt project in the Strozzina spaces. The theme of this edition creates a current reflection on contemporaneity: connection and spaces for sharing between people.
