what is the serological pass soon to be implemented in Monaco?
A serological pass as an alternative to the booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. This is the new measure which will soon enter into force in Monaco.
Concretely, people benefiting from a significant number of antibodies – the exact figure has not yet been revealed – will be exempt from booster doses, as indicated Monaco-Morning.
This serological pass will then serve as health pass for two months for these people, since the number of antibodies decreases over time. At the end of June, the Principality had already set up a serological monitoring campaign for its population by means of a blood test.
It would not be the first time that Monaco has taken innovative measures in the fight against the coronavirus. Since November 9, the vaccination booster has been open to all residents as soon as they have been vaccinated for more than 6 months, while nightclubs were closed three weeks before those in France.
Nevertheless, this pass will only be valid within Monegasque borders because the other states have not yet recognized it.
In France, serological tests do not allow exemption from a booster dose. “We do not have sufficient data to establish a correlate which says “from so many antibodies, you are protected against the virus for so many months”, declared the High Authority of Health (HAS) in November.
