Ericsson – and Sweden – in focus at the World Expo
Ericsson’s technology, demonstrations and future technical insights form an important part of Sweden’s exhibition space with the theme Co-Creation for Innovation at Expo 2020.
Ericsson’s President and CEO, Börje Ekholm, is one of a strong delegation of Swedish industry and business leaders participating in Sweden Day.
Ekholm is a panelist in Smart Society Summit: Building the future with Sweden panel session with Björn Rosengren, President, ABB and Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO, Volvo Group.
Topics include collaboration between business, academia and government; changing business models; and make the smart society a reality.
Members of Sweden’s royal family also participate in the country’s national day event at Expo 2020.
Exhibiting countries are assigned a focus day during the six-month fair, with December 15 dedicated to Sweden.
The Swedish pavilion space at the current fair is the largest pavilion Sweden has set up at any world exhibition to date. The nation’s event theme is Knowledge and learning.
Ericsson has already participated in a number of events at Expo 2020, including the organization of thought leadership sessions on digital inclusion and climate measures as part of the fair’s sustainability day in October.
In 2022, Ericsson will participate in at least six event days before the fair ends on March 31, 2022.
