Friday evening, an anonymous patrol witnessed a possible drug deal in the Vissellers Street. The saw how a man got into a car and even got out again. The inspectors immediately intercepted the man and he admitted that he had bought a small amount of cocaine from the driver of the car.
The police are blocking the vehicle to proceed with a check. The driver abruptly backed up and drove into the door of the service vehicle. One of the inspectors was injured in the leg in that collision. A second inspector had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the fleeing vehicle.
It came to a short chase in which the fleeing drivers were followed by a stationary vehicle. The intended claims on foot are on the run but can be carried out much later without further problems. Two mobile phones were found in the car and 350 euros in the suspect’s pockets.
The suspect denied the facts of drug sales and was interrogated by the Brussels investigating judge. He placed the suspect under arrest warrant for the sale of narcotics, increased recalcitrance and practiced beatings and acts in the performance of their duties. The injured inspector is incapacitated for work for at least two days.
