November 22, the events of Toulouse Métropole were triggered by a strike for the competition to end the application of the law on the transformation of the public service. This goes in particular to the “finished party” which will suppress the workers to return home once the task is completed, forcing them from now on to stay at the depot until noon. This with the aim of making the garbage collectors work – which starts at 5 am – 1607 hours per year, or 35 hours per week like all the territorial agents. As is often the case, the equality argument allows working conditions to be leveled down.
Opposite, Toulouse Métropole, under the chairmanship of Jean-Luc Moudenc, claims to be ” open to discussion », A perfectly hypocritical position when their first reaction was to end the strike by calling on a private company to take charge of the waste. And the presidency of the metropolis does not stop there: if it claims to want to negotiate with the strikers, it actually poses a prerequisite which is none other than the acceptance of the abolition of the “finite party” … which has a particularity the strike. The inter-union (FO, CGT, FA-FPT, FSU, Solidaires Sud and Unsa) voted against -excepted the CFDT which abstained- and calls for a renewable strike from December 15 and on the occasion of the council community on December 16. Faced with contempt and the refusal to negotiate: finished the zealous strike, the call is now for a “hard” strike.

Behind this strike against the application of the law on the transformation of the public service, it is the demand for better working conditions that is made, in a dangerous profession where accidents at work are too frequent. To the maintenance of the “finished party” are added in the claims taking into account the arduousness, the tenure of contractual workers or the premium and indemnity requirement.
To support the strikers, the meeting is given on Thursday December 16 at 8:30 am at the Pierre Baudis 11 Congress Center, Esplanade Compans Caffarelli in Toulouse.
