OL, Nice, Monaco …: a target for Barça towards Ligue 1?
Free as the air next summer, André Onana would be in the sights of Inter Milan, Barça, but also three French clubs.
Announced in the sights of Olympique Lyonnais last summer André Onana should not extend his contract with Ajax Amsterdam. Deprived of competition for one after being tested positive during a doping control, the 25-year-old Cameroonian will be free in June 2022 and all of Europe is looking into his case. Already on the record for several months, Inter Milan seems to have a head start on its competitors. According to the Italian press, the Nerazzurri even made a verbal agreement with the player’s entourage, before presenting an official contract offer in January.
But other top names have not thrown in the towel, as announced this Friday on Mundo Deportivo. According to information from the Catalan media, FC Barcelona is still interested in Onana to compensate for a possible departure of Marc-André ter Stegen. Inter Milan will also face competition from Atlético Madrid, Naples and three Ligue 1 clubs: Olympique Lyonnais, AS Monaco and OGC Nice. To be continued …
