“Deep sadness” in the ranks of the Sibra
Two days after the tragic accident in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, which led to the amputation of the foot of a septuagenarian who was run over by a bus, the director of Sibra Christophe Babé shared, on behalf of the ‘whole staff,’ a deep state of sadness. The Sibra fully associates itself with the trauma of the victim. “All our thoughts are with her and her loved ones. An accident like this is a tragedy for a family, a tragedy for our company, ”responded Christophe Babé. “This accident goes against all the values that we hold, for our users as well as all our fellow citizens”, continues the director.
Before adding: “It affects us all, it is a blow for all the drivers whose job stakes are high. The ever increasing number of traffic difficulties make it necessary to ensure constant vigilance in the face of real and varied risks ”, recalls the director, who has never experienced an accident with such consequences for 15 years that he has been at the head of Sibra .
“We have a training policy to avoid accidents which limit the risks but do not prevent them. Our driver safety committee will analyze the accident to detect the elements that contributed to this tragedy, to understand and prevent it from happening again. An accident is the sum of small causes, sometimes not much is enough to avoid it, ”assured Christophe Babé who also intends to rely on the reflection shared with François Astorg, president of Sibra, on sensitive points where improvements can be managed by the City to improve everyone’s safety.
